The city of Chicago is probably one of the most popular travel destinations in the USA. It is found in the mid- western region of the Country. Its sister cities are New York City which is about 800 miles to its east, while Los angels is about 2000 miles to the southwest. The city lies on the western shores of one of the Great Lakes, the Michigan Lake. Among the metropolis in the USA, it comes in third position. The Great Plains of the Midwest are found to the western side of Chicago. These plains provide no natural barriers to shield the city from the winds make it a very windy city. However, it is interesting to note that its nickname of a ‘windy city’ actually emanated from the plenty of “windy politicians” that hailed from the city.

Further into the city is the street system that forms a rectangular pattern that is very easy to navigate.
The culture of Chicago is very diversified. This is clearly manifested by the various districts in the city that are very distinct to each other in terms of culture.
